Job Description
RateHawk (part of Emerging Travel Group) is a global travel technology company that has operated various brands since 2010. We are well recognized, respected, and trusted across Europe, UK, Middle East, as well as Asia, and now are setting our sites and venturing into the North American travel market.
Our mission as a leader in the travel technoolgy space is to create, distribute, and manage the most convenient travel products for travel professionals. We are constantly innovating and expanding the boundaries of the highly complex travel industry to make travel more accesible for individuals, more profitable for professionals, and in general, simpler for everyone.
We are looking for a Country Manager in Canada to lead and develop a team, implement effective sales strategies, and build long-term reciprocal relationships with our customers and partners in North America.
What You’ll Do:
  • Monitoring and analysis of the team's KPI results;
  • Market research, reporting, analysis, and forecasting.
  • Team management to achieve the planned revenue results of the division;
  • People development, from hiring to training, to help the team get to the next level.
  • Involvement in the development and implementation of the division's marketing plan;
  • Expand and consolidate presence in the assigned territory;
  • Actively promote our new international project;
  • Helping the team to manage key customers;
  • Organize the search and hiring of new business partners, as well as strengthen the relationship with current partners and conduct negotiations with them;
Requirements
Who You Are:
  • Professional experience in the travel industry, as well as an understanding of tourism and the main online booking systems;
  • International mindset. Ability to understand and work in a wide range of cultural contexts, reflecting the company's global presence;
  • Personal skills. Proactive, ambitious, motivated, communicative, action-oriented, results-focused, appetite for innovative technology, comfortable with fast-changing business environment, teamplayer, used to data-driven decision-making;
  • Relevant experience. Ideally, 3 years of leadership experience (Account Executives/Account Managers) with a focus on go-to-market strategies and people development, as well as successful sales experience with track record. Knowledge in business development for B2B travel tech companies in the country is important, as well as networking with the travel industry, i.e. travel agencies, tour operators, OTAs (Online Travel Agencies).
  • Competence in API integration and technology sales & deals;
  • Language knowledge. Native English, other languages are a plus;
  • Results focused. You are accustomed to data-driven decision-making, metrics-driven and good with numbers. An ability to quickly grasp the features of new markets;
  • Be your own CEO. Autonomy and ability to self-manage the responsibilities.
  • Location. Must be a current resident in Canada.
  • Readiness for business trips. 20 – 30% of working time may be needed for market visits or to attend events.
