As they continue to expand their presence in the market, they are seeking an experienced and driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their executive team and play a crucial role in our financial success.
Position Overview:
As the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all financial aspects of the real estate investment management operations. Your expertise in financial strategy, risk management, and capital allocation will be instrumental in supporting the company's growth and profitability. You will collaborate closely with the CEO and executive team to develop and implement financial plans that align with the company's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement to drive profitability.
- Develop and execute financial strategies that support the company's long-term goals and objectives.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business targets.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Present financial information to the executive team and the board of directors, providing clear and concise summaries and actionable insights.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.
Risk Management:
- Capital Allocation and Investment Analysis:
- Evaluate investment opportunities, assessing their financial viability and alignment with the company's investment strategy.
- Implement robust risk management practices to safeguard the company's financial assets and investments.
- Assess and mitigate financial risks, including market fluctuations, liquidity, and credit risks.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance with relevant financial laws and regulations.
- Advise on capital allocation decisions to maximize returns on investments and optimize the use of financial resources.
- Analyze real estate market trends and conduct due diligence on potential acquisitions and dispositions.
Treasury and Cash Management:
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and capital requirements to meet the company's financial obligations.
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship and guidance to enhance individual and team performance.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Develop and maintain relationships with financial institutions and investors to secure funding for new projects and refinancing.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of real estate financial modeling, valuation techniques, and industry-specific accounting standards.
- Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or CPA qualification is highly desirable. EMD is highly desirable.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- A strategic thinker with the ability to contribute to the overall business strategy.
- Proven track record as a CFO or a senior finance executive in the real estate investment management industry.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Minimum 5 years experience required
Compensation:
$120,000 to $150,000 a Year
