Job Description
COO Sought for Plumbing Division of MEP Firm in Northern Virginia
Our client is a full-service design + build construction firm that helps condominium associations, cooperative associations, homeowner associations (“HOA”), commercial and retail tenants successfully navigate complex base building renovation and construction projects. They proudly offer operational excellence from all staff, trade partners, architects, engineers, and consultants, to guarantee that all clients’ expectations are exceeded. Their leadership has experience in construction, development, property management and design as well as building and growing successful companies from the ground up. Additionally, they have an established track record of mentoring, growing, and developing successful real estate professionals.
Candidate’s Required Background / Preferred Attributes
  • Successful track record executing Mechanical & Plumbing renovation programs $500,000 plus
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 10-years prior experience in Commercial Multifamily Mechanical / Plumbing Renovations & Service
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit and Get it Done Attitude
  • Self-Motivation / Self-Direction
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Successful track record building and leading teams
  • Strong and Successful relationships with vendors, suppliers and sub subcontractors
  • Ability to solve problems, multi-task and react quickly to provide solutions
  • Excellent organization and time management skills with attention to detail required
Technical Skills
  • Mechanical / Plumbing Master’s License in DC, MD & VA
  • Reports directly to the CEO
  • Highly proficient Microsoft Excel or other comparable take-off / estimating software
  • ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP
  • All other staff reports to President / COO
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
