Business Intelligence Specialist - Business Analytics

As a core team member of the strategy and analytics team at Navigatr Group, the Business Intelligence Specialist will develop dashboards, write SQL queries, perform qualitative/quantitative business analysis, and work closely with the business to influence the strategic direction and financial performance of the Company.

Reporting to the Manager, Business Analytics, the Business Intelligence Specialist will have significant exposure to senior management with the opportunity to work closely with the various Business Units (BU) Leaders, Product & Technology, Finance, Marketing, and HR teams across the organization.

Essential Job Functions

First 90 Days:

• Special Project: work with implementation consultants, developing CRM reporting through Microsoft Dynamics and Microsoft Power BI, ensuring data consistency with internal database
• Responsible for delivering corporate reporting and Power BI projects
• Maintain and support data analytics and reporting infrastructure
• Provide data analysis via the execution of SQL database queries and MS Power BI
• Design, build, and deploy BI reporting solutions and visualizations
• Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
• Develop and update technical documentation

90 to 180 Days:

• Break down strategic problems, and analyze data and information to provide subject matter insights and recommendations
• Support the organization in investigating data inquiries from senior leadership, surfacing actionable business insights through effective communication
• Lead the design and development of Company’s next generation of Enterprise Analytics platform to be deployed by Q1 ‘24
• Collaborate with Financial Planning & Analysis team on developing dashboards to support FY’24 budget and forecast

Qualifications

• Microsoft Dynamics CRM experience is a plus
• Effective and collaborative interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
• Proactive with a self-starter / can-do attitude, with ability to form strong working relationships with all levels of the organization
• Advanced Excel is essential with an emphasis on the ability to manipulate complex financial and operational data; VBA is a plus
• Proven aptitude for data preparation and analysis using SQL, Microsoft Power BI, and Excel with strong understanding of DAX and Power Query
• Experience in travel, hospitability, technology industries a plus
• University degree in Business/Economics or related fields with 1+ years of experience; or IT Certification/Diploma/Degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, complex and dynamic environment with significant change, ambiguity and adapting to evolving organizational requirements
• Business intuition, problem solving, critical and analytical thinking
