Project Business Analyst Jobs

Your Role

The Project Business Analyst will work under the direction of the PMO Manager. As a team, the PBA will work closely with the following teams: Technical Business Applications & Operations, Business Applications, Quality Assurance, Reporting and Business Intelligence, Service Desk support specialists, network, and infrastructure, and the PMO and business users to ensure that business policies and processes are supported by the various applications and systems.

Your New Job

• Providing quality assurance for the training material.
• Documenting test scripts required for projects and completing testing when required.
• Explaining how the business operates on the front line.
• Complete requirements gathering, impact assessments and quality assurance efforts as required.
• Participate in and lead workshops with users, general managers, Directors, Business Application Manager, IT Security, Architects, and project teams to identify, analyze, document business requirements and process opportunities
• Participating in development of user communications (including policy and process updates and technical solutions).
• Assist with business case development for new projects.
• Identifying areas requiring attention from the training group.
• Communicating how data is currently being used within supported systems.
• Providing solution details and process training to the trainers, as required.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Define and coordinate the execution of testing procedures and develop test cases to serve the overall quality assurance process.
• Experience in Parts, Equipment Sales, Service, Manufacturing, Remanufacturing and or Warranty businesses is an asset.
• Diploma, certificate or other post-secondary education in a related field and 7 or more years related experience.
• Develop, analyze, prioritize, and organize requirement specifications, data mapping, diagrams, and flowcharts for developers and testers to follow.
• Experience in network, security, telecommunication, mobility, infrastructure is an asset.
• Excellent analytical skills to thoroughly conceptualize complex business processes and the impact changes can make on business areas.
• CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) designation is preferred.
• Thorough understanding of business processes, data structure, reporting and internal controls, typically gained through multiple years of industry experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required.
• Ability to proactively identify and manage risk.
• Experience with JIRA, Microsoft Azure, Miro, Mural, or other tools considered an asset.
• Excellent discipline and time management skills to plan, manage and deliver results within a team and projects.
• ERP experience is an asset.
• Strong documentation and communication skills must have the ability to document technical requirements. Translate highly technical specifications into clear non-technical requirements.
• Customer-focused approach to resolving business process related systems issues with the business community.
