Business Intelligence (Bi) Specialist – Senior

Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist On behalf of our client in the Government Services Sector, PROCOM is looking for a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist.
Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist –

• Provide Go Live Support and Review after Go Live
• Design ingestion framework and CDC using Oracle Golden Gate and Azure Data Factory
• You will be required to come to the office three days per week and will be expected to have excellent communication skills
• As a Senior Business Intelligence Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing an ingestion framework from Oracle source to Azure Data Lake
• Plan for Go Live, Production Deployment
• Design, develop and implement ingestion framework from Oracle source to Azure Data Lake
• Perform unit testing and ensure performance monitoring and improvement
• This position is hybrid and located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
• Transfer knowledge to Ministry staff, development of documentation on the work completed
• Review the requirements, database tables, and database relationships
• Develop ETL strategy and solution for different sets of data modules
• Develop scripts for the physical model, and update database and/or data lake structure

Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist – Mandatory Skills

• Ability to conduct unit tests and assist in test preparations to ensure data integrity
• 2+ years in Python
• 2+ years in Azure Data Lake and Data Warehouse, and building Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks pipelines
• Experience building data ingestion and change data capture using Oracle Golden Gate
• Ability to present technical requirements to the business
• Oracle Golden Gate, SQL Server, Oracle
• 2+ years of experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Databricks and Python development
• 7+ years of experience with SQL Server, SSIS, and T-SQL development or similar
• Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS, ADF, Databricks, other cloud tools
• 7+ years in ETL tools such as Microsoft SSIS, stored procedures
• Experience working with building databases, data warehouses and dimensional data marts and working with delta and full loads
• Good knowledge of database performance optimization techniques
• Ability to assist in the requirements analysis and subsequent developments

Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist - Preferred Skills

• Knowledge and experience building data ingestion, history, change data capture using Oracle Golden Gate
