Analyst Reporting Expert
  • Estimated length: Half month

Responsibilities
  • Accountable for the production, development, support and maintenance of platform and head
office financial and non-financial reporting for external, management and other internal
reporting needs.
  • Strong ability and commitment to support report production in daily/monthly/quarterly/yearly
reporting activities and deploy automated reporting solutions to meet business requirements
  • Develop and implement automated reporting solutions and processes for dashboards,
structured reports and other reporting capabilities leveraging Cognos BI (Cognos Analytics,
Cognos Report Studio 10.2.2), SQL and other reporting tools
  • Responsible for the development and timely delivery of scheduled, new and ad hoc reports and
change requests. This includes requests against EPM (Cognos TM1 cubes), EDW, Data Lake,
CGID, PeopleSoft, Finance DataMart and other data sources
  • Maintain reporting environment and reporting governance around publishing of BI reports
(Cognos folders, Tableau sites)
  • Interact with Finance/business platforms to ensure accurate understanding of report
requirements and provide timely response to user requests
  • Collaborate with internal business partners and external vendors as required for various
reporting related initiatives
  • Ensure Service Level Agreement is met and reports are produced/scheduled/supported within
agreed timelines and reporting cycles
  • Ensure report and quality standards are adhered to and continuous improvement initiatives are
embedded within production and development
  • Ensure adequate and up to date documentation on workflow tickets, report inventory, reporting
processes and related activities/components
  • Develop and maintain reporting infrastructure
  • Understand model behavior
  • Conduct analysis on model input/output
  • Consolidate IFRS9, CECL and Stress Testing model result for Finance and Business reporting
  • Support requests from model builders, validators and auditors regarding data and methodology
aspects associated with the credit loss models used in CMS, focusing on IFRS 9 credit
provisioning and other potential enterprise stress tests (CECL, CCAR, EWST).
  • Develop and/or implement testing and reporting methodologies, including model testing,
calibration, and monitoring performance.
  • Manage in maintaining reporting infrastructure for the analysis of IFRS9, CECL and Stress Testing
  • Assist in the execution and maintenance of time sensitive IFRS 9 live production runs in CMS.

  • Manage in the timely production of the Allowance Committee decks that are critical for the
approval of the allowances by the Committee. The reported numbers have a direct impact on
the balance sheet and the income statements of every business line across company
  • Assist in preparation of model whitepapers and presentations, as well as other technical
documents pertaining to models, systems, and technology.
  • Perform scenario/change impact analyses for communication to Senior Management, with focus
on business and risk implications.
  • Facilitate integration and automation of modeling and reporting changes in CMS, and their
promotion to BAU production processes.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, financial engineering, math or computer science disciplines or
equivalent education/experience with strong knowledge of reporting processes and
technologies
Nice-to-have
  • Experience and knowledge of internal systems (e.g. EDW, CGID, EPM, PeopleSoft, Finance
  • Experience with Cognos BI reporting against TM1 dimensional cubes, VBA, etc.
Datamart, etc.) and reporting processes
  • Financial Services Industry experience & general business acumen
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong combination of technical competencies and financial/business knowledge to develop
  • Strong technical proficiency in BI reporting tools: Cognos Analytics, SQL, Tableau, etc.
