Business Intelligence (Bi) Specialist

Business Intelligence Specialist On behalf of our client in the Government Services Sector, PROCOM is looking for a Business Intelligence Specialist.
Business Intelligence Specialist –

• Develop monitoring and error notification processes to ensure data is updated as designed
• Develop feedback processes to fix corrupt data in the source systems
• Conduct data integration, data cleansing, data modeling and analytics
• Design visual dashboards to highlight trends and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and develop canned reports (scheduled and ad-hoc)
• Develop and support guided analysis and drill-down functionality, routine scheduling and notification of report generation, and effective implementation of “opportunity” and “key-trend” alerts
• Develop, implement and maintain schedule/dependency logic for Extract Transform Load (ETL) scripts
• Conduct workshops and requirements-gathering sessions with clients on BI & Data Analytics Initiative
• As a Senior Business Intelligence Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the client's wide-ranging business information requirements, implementing and supporting business intelligence software solutions
• You will develop and support customized query applications which analyze key business data, and provide clients with approach options and tools for managing business-related data in a manner that assists in quantitative analysis of progress and the relationship between operational actions and their effect on business objectives

Business Intelligence Specialist – Mandatory Skills

• Experience in process decomposition/mapping and business process re-engineering and complex data models using UML
• 10+ years of experience in a similar role
• Advanced knowledge and expertise in various BI tools and technologies, such as data modeling, ETL processes, data visualization, and reporting
• Experience with the Microsoft suite of technology including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, and Power BI
• Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices
• Strong data analysis capabilities, including data mining, data interpretation, and the ability to derive meaningful insights to support decision-making
• Proven troubleshooting and analytical experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a team and solve problems
