About The Team


Basis Technologies' Product team guides the innovation and development of our comprehensive tech platform, Basis. This team blends focus, collaboration, and creativity to fulfill our mission in creating a transformative tool that makes work more streamlined and fulfilling for those who power the ad tech industry.


Customer experience is at the forefront of this team’s work—and also includes market research, cross-departmental stakeholder collaboration, user testing, communicating feature requests to engineers and designers, monitoring impact of new feature rollouts, measuring returns on product investments, and more. Together, they leverage their diverse industry experience and talent to brainstorm new ideas, iterate on old ones, and create the best possible product for our customers.


WAYS YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE


Reporting into the Director, Product Management, this role will have a direct impact on growing the business by helping to execute on our product roadmap.


OTHER WAYS YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE ARE BY:


  • Working with QA continuously to enhance the type and coverage of Platform validation
  • Supporting cross-functional efforts on the continuous and varying scaling needs of the Platform that arise from growth in the business
  • Helping to maintain Platform roadmap and relevance for the internal monitoring, control, and business intelligence systems of the Platform
  • Helping identify and execute on technology evolutions to improve Platform capabilities
  • Supporting the creation of Platform and Application roadmaps by collaborating with the Product Managers of the Applications that are built on the Platform
  • Ensuring new features can be managed and configured by the Operations team to support feature adoption and success with customers
  • Communicating features clearly in writing as well as verbally, erring on the side of clarity
  • Participating and contributing in all PMLC phases
  • Defining clearly the "what" (as opposed to the "how") and manage the delivery of the "what"
  • Collaborating with Engineering on their feedback on feature scoping and development capacity
  • Being hands-on to improve the definition of the feature, perform proof-of-concept testing and/or provide data where necessary to support recommendations
  • Defining useful feature specifications that support both the Application functionality, as well as the Operational and Technical considerations of the Platform
  • Being clear on task prioritization, logical sequences, and communicating those with internal stakeholders


WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE


  • Understands the value of the features being added to the platform and understands how to measure the success of those features
  • Capable of working with engineers about technical design tradeoffs including platforms, frameworks, scalability and performance
  • Passionate about problem solving and engaging the team to arrive at a solution
  • Resourceful, self-reliant, and does not monopolize the resources of the existing product team
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Relational Databases and SQL
  • Experience with entire development cycle or projects, and doing so in a fast-paced workplace
