Job Title

IT Product Lead (Fund Administration)

The IT Product Lead (Fund Administration) will incorporate the design and analysis activities across I&TS IT managed applications, business and operational partners to assess, research, and analyze business and system needs in order to incorporate new requirements and to resolve systems issues based on operational, client, regulatory and market requests that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs. The IT Product Lead will play a pivotal role in influencing the business product roadmap and provide expert-domain insights to align with best in-class T&O solutions.

To provide IT, overall analytical leadership on applications and projects, based on operational, client, regulatory and market requests. To perform research analysis, design and implementation of IT projects in order to enhance competitive edge or to reduce costs, liaising with project teams to provide estimates and to support System and User Acceptance testing globally. To act as the IT SME for all interfaces of I&TS applications in scope within the role. All responsibilities carried out in accordance with Code of Conduct, RBC Values and Guiding Principles ensuring adherence to Privacy principles.

What Will You Do

Product, System & Technical Analysis, Design and Consulting

• Build Future Capability : express a vision for change based on the awareness of business challenges and by bringing innovative approach and/or solutions to accelerate the delivery
• Leads detailed design phases and track project updates in partnership with the Portfolio Planning Lead/s across the Digital Fund Services (DFS) group.
• Agile Champion, work towards setting up environment to promote agility with iterative delivery model, working in collaboration attention to value focus / voice of the client to increase the rate of successful deliveries
• Support the application enhancement development processes and provide guidance, thought leadership, continuous improvement and commercial awareness.
• May determine best mix of development, interfacing applications, third party vendor solutions to meet business requirements and project objectives
• Adhering to corporate controls (e.g. internal and external audits, information security)
• Prepares high level and detailed specifications as necessary for small to medium projects in accordance with PMF, security and architecture documentation objectives

Project Execution Support

• Provide IT support for the business functional and system analysis work leading to technical development and implementation of key development projects within the assigned budget. Work with the business partners in Product, Client Operations, IT Project Managers and SMEs across I&TS.
• Act as Lead Consultant to support handover activities to Project Teams for execution activities.

Change Management & Enablement

• IT Client onboarding coordinator
• JIRA Champion
• Confluence Maintenance and Reporting

Solution Design & Development

• Review business requirements and complete them with functional requirements to support estimation activities.
• Ensure the efficient Integration of external packages or development
• Lead detailed design phases for small projects / stream within a medium to large projects identifying, tracking and resolving technical issues.
• As IT Product Expert, work closely with the Business to produce resilient solutions.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

• Business knowledge of financial institutions, understanding of fund accounting and transfer agency in order to be able to deliver. Preference is understanding of I&TS specific business operations.
• Ability to analyze issues for a strategic and holistic point of view while being pragmatic in defining IT solution
• Knowledge of relevant technologies and tools available today
• Ability to provide mentoring to colleagues in areas of technical or business expertise
• 6+ years of Business Analysis experiences
• Ability to document technical solutions in business terms
• SME in Business and Technical environment of I&TS Infrastructure, particularly the Fund Administration space
• Ability to effectively communicate (written and orally in English) with clients, operations, staff and management.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

Nice-to-have

• Good knowledge of supportive technologies in the Financial Services Industry
• Good Knowledge of IT standards, Methodologies, CMM and audit requirements
