About The Opportunity

Our client is looking for a Technical Product Manager to join their company on a full time basis. This role can be done remotely with few trips to the head off in Rochester New York. As a Technical Product Manager for an integrated software and custom hardware technology stack, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of innovative medical products that combine software and hardware components. Your role will involve collaborating with cross- functional teams, including software engineers, hardware engineers, designers, and stakeholders, to define and prioritize product requirements. You will act as the primary point of contact between the development team and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and successful product delivery. Candidates that live in Eastern Time Zone will be screened for this position.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Gather feedback from stakeholders, incorporate it into product planning, and communicate decisions effectively
• Define and communicate the product strategy, including feature prioritization, target market segments, and competitive analysis
• Develop a clear and compelling product vision for the integrated software and custom hardware technology stack, aligning with the company overall goals and market demands
• Conduct regular meetings, presentations, and demonstrations to keep stakeholders informed about product progress, updates, and upcoming features

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Knowledge of market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape in the software and hardware industry is desirable
• Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross- functional teams and stakeholders at all levels
• Proven experience as a Technical Product Manager, Solution Architect or similar role, preferably in the integrated software and custom hardware domain
• Analytical mindset and data-driven decision-making abilities
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
• Experience managing IT staff, scrum meetings, third party development
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, hardware technology, and product lifecycle management
• Experience with Medical Devices, HIPAA as an asset
• Understanding of SOC2 and other critical compliance standards
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
