Application Engineer (Permanent) Jobs

CoreFactor is searching for a Container Application Migration Engineer on a permanent/full-time basis for a client in the GTA.

This position is hybrid and will require the successful incumbents to work from home, the office or at a client site.

Position Description

The Container Application Migration (Containerization) Engineer will have good knowledge and experience of how to build, migrate, and manage containerized apps, especially running on the Red Hat OpenShift Platform (or Kubernetes) on public cloud solutions like Azure or AWS.

Requirements

• The ability to communicate effectively with people internally and externally
• Familiar with and experience in Open Source development environment, Open Source development tools, Open Source DevOps tools, Open
• Experience: 5 to 8 years
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Familiar with or experience in the Red Hat environment, Public Cloud (AWS or Azure) environment
• Lead or engage containerization, the Docker project, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
• Experience in Implementation of container apps environment, container enabled apps, and deployment of the containerized application is a must
• Experience in application containerization or container-enabled app development for Kubernetes (or similar) environment is a must

Additional Qualifications:

• Familiar with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Use OpenShift Enterprise to deploy applications
• Experience with modern DevOps tools, such as Git, GitHub, and/or Jenkins
• Experience or certification in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Strong problem investigation and diagnosis skills
• Experience of deploy and managing Red Hat OpenShift Platform
• Korean, French ability
• Familiarity with Java development frameworks like Spring, Eclipse, and other technologies like Node.js, Ruby, PHP, Go, or .NET development
• Delivery-focused with the ability to drive tasks forward and meet demanding deadlines
