Our Technology Practice is a 21-person software development team that builds cutting-edge solutions that promote and support financial security for working Canadians. These solutions range from personal financial modelling tools to large, complex data management systems.
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong experience in the Azure Cloud, the Microsoft stack (including .NET), and container orchestration (including Azure Kubernetes Services).
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, dedicated, and passionate about solving problems and driving continual improvement and innovation.
Remote work may be considered; however, preference will be given to candidates who are able to work in the office at least 40% of the time.
Key Responsibilities
· All aspects of DevOps (automation, infrastructure design, provisioning, configuration management, deployment, monitoring, continuous integration, delivery), mainly on the Azure platform
· Delivery of new automated environments from development to production (infrastructure and application configuration and deployment)
· Maintenance of documentation throughout development and post-deployment
· Participation in application testing for security, performance, resiliency, and availability
· Operational support and continuous evolution of existing pipelines
· Working with cross-functional application teams to ensure smooth deployments of tools, patches, and upgrades in cloud environments
· Coordination, as required, with corporate IT and security experts
Desired Skills and Experience
· 5+ years of direct experience with DevOps/automation tools and approaches
· Strong hands-on troubleshooting and deployment experience in at least one automation tool (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Github, GitLab, Bamboo)
· Ability to develop, implement, configure, and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
· Strong background with ARM and IaC, and experience in deploying and configuring instances on Azure environments
· Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
· Experience with PowerShell, YAML, or other scripting in the Azure DevOps environment
· Experience with Azure Cloud Services such as: container orchestration, container registry, storage services, app services, and database services
· Robust analytical and problem-solving skills
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently produce results within timelines
· Strong communication skills, including technical writing skills
· Degree or diploma in computer science, engineering, or related field (preferred)
· AZ 400 certified or similar and having completed one of the following certifications: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Developer Associate (preferred)
