We are privately owned, profitable and founder-led, looking for a DevOps Software Engineer to join our team.

This is an in-office role at our downtown Toronto office.

As part of our team, you will:

• Work principally on our own hardware and data centers
• Develop and maintain scripts, templates, and tools to automate the provisioning, deployment, and management of a large number of resources in our data centers
• Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities
• Drive the adoption of DevOps best practices, tools, and processes across the team
• Support the software engineering processes and the delivery to production environments. You will be implementing and enhancing our deployment and operational management tooling, as well as building infrastructure as code
• Work closely with the development team to support business processes and ensure the secure, stable operation of our services
• Contribute to the design and improvements of infrastructure, architecture, development, and deployment
• Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements
• Implement and improve existing metrics, monitoring, and alerting systems

• The skills to work with a team of engineers to automate testing, staging, and deployment (Python & Gitlab CI/CD a plus)
• Outstanding communication and data-driven decision-making skills
• Strong and relevant experience supporting and maintaining distributed systems
• Experience using infrastructure-as-code tools to build and run infrastructure
• Grit, smarts and persistence
• Knowledge of container orchestration (bare-metal Kubernetes or Hashicorp Nomad a plus)
• The ability to implement metrics gathering, log monitoring, and alerting

• You will be able to see your code deployed in production environments and powering some of our largest enterprise client implementations
