What You'll Be Doing

You’ll be joining CIBC’s Personal Banking Products Technology team. You’ll be at the heart of CIBC’s digital transformation, successfully delivering complex, enterprise-scale projects involving multiple back-end systems. As an Application Consultant, you will build, implement and maintain easy, flexible, and personalized solutions that enhance the client experience. You’ll lead the planning and strategy for the technical design, development and integration of these applications.

How You'll Succeed

• Time Management - You will plan and manage multiple, individual and/or team priorities to meet established timelines.
• Application Development - You will code and configure solutions using multiple tools and technologies while meeting code quality targets.
• Requirement Analysis and Design - You will help translate Business Requirements into Solution Requirements and Technical design. This may include working directly with the Business to gain a complete understanding of their request to ensure the end solution meets their needs with minimal design defects.

Who You Are

• Good knowledge in working with Connect-SQL, Connect-SOAP, Connect-REST, Service-SOAP, Service-REST, Service-File, Service-MQ. Knowledge on how authentication works is an asset
• Good working knowledge on integrations with external systems including SOAP/REST APIs
• Strong knowledge on designing, building and maintaining Pega class structures
• Strong Knowledge on database related activities, writing Select, Update, Insert queries and Joins
• Experience is developing complex reports using report definition, sub-reports and Summary reports.
• Pega Cloud experience is an additional bonus
• You can demonstrate. 3 + years of experience in PEGA and Java/J2EE Design and Development. (Any experience with Pega V8 is a plus)
• Experience with any other Business Rule Management Systems or Decision Engine Software is an asset.
• Experience on working with Pega application server. Working Knowledge related to updating JVM parameters, data sources in configuration files, deploying WAR files and overall knowledge on the system administration side is nice to have

• Experience with using Pega frameworks e.g PEGA-CDH, Smart Dispute or other banking frameworks is a plus
• Strong knowledge in implementing various PRPC components like Case Management, Data pages, Business rules – Activities, Data transforms, Declarative and Decision rules, Validation, Correspondence, SLA, Tickets, Standard /Advanced Agents
• You’re digitally savvy. You seek out innovative solutions and embrace evolving technologies. You can easily adapt to new tools and trends.
• Experience in migration and infrastructure upgrade projects. Experience in Pega upgrades from V6 to V7 or V7 to V8 is a plus
