Product Manager/Engineer Jobs

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Responsible to be/become the product and process expert in air induction product team. Your job will be to work with all respective teams at ABC as the product and process expert in Air Induction. This will encompass all induction components, including turbo charged systems, and other like components. On behalf of the Product & Process Department you will be responsible for providing our customer with a product solution that meets all their form and functional requirements, while also ensure the process used to manufacture those parts meet and exceeds ABC Quality standards.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Prepare product reviews for customer engineering/purchasing.
• To assist, where required, Quality and Production departments in troubleshooting and problem analysis in conjunction with any issues of quality or production efficiency.
• To prepare Product and Process feasibility studies and all other documentation required supporting customer expectations.
• To advise the production supervisory group of the design, build, delivery, etc. status of new tooling and/or product equipment.
• To design and engineer new products, also, approve designs and drawings by design personnel.
• To manage A.Q.P. (Advance Quality Programs) meetings.
• Has the responsibility for ensuring that their finished products meet established quality assurance specifications.
• In conjunction with Sales staff, provide support and liaison with Customer’s Engineering and Design personnel if necessary.
• To manage new product tooling programs and supervises tooling try-outs and sample preparation for submission to customers.
• In conjunction with sales, to prepare detailed product and tooling cost quotations in response to Customer inquiries.
• To ensure all new moulds and secondary tooling meet established quality control specifications.
• To analyze and implement on-going process improvements to improve production efficiencies and product quality.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

Minimum Qualifications:

• 10+ years of automotive related management experience.
• Hands-on knowledge and application of manufacturing systems and process improvement techniques.
• 8+ years with air induction product experience and/or plastic manufacturing.
• Knowledge of GD & T, FMEA, SPC 1 & 2
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Undergraduate Engineering degree as a minimum or equivalent experience.
• Recognized Professional Designation a must.
• Strong Knowledge in quoting, capital expenditures and program budgets.
