Job Description
Do you have excellent office administration and organization skills that allow you to plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and timeliness? We have an opportunity in a role that performs diverse administrative support duties reporting to a manager in our Investigations department. If you enjoy a variety of administrative tasks and working as part of a team, consider joining us.
How you'll make a difference: You'll utilize your skills in administration and customer service to assist our team.
Where you'll work
At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.
In this role, you'll work primarily from home but will be required to come into the Richmond office once a week and on an as needed basis.
  • Maintain office supplies and stationery
  • Prepare and manage a variety of correspondence including emails, memos, forms, reports, manuals or other materials
  • Greet and direct external and internal visitors
  • Maintain a variety of paper and digital files and records
  • Receive, screen, and refer incoming telephone calls to appropriate staff; provide general information to callers where applicable and answer routine inquiries
  • Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail and correspondence; respond to routine inquiries and correspondence within established guidelines
We're looking for people who can:
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • This position requires regular and punctual attendance
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and accurately handle concurrent activities
  • Maintain a high level of customer service
Your background and experience
  • Excellent English language skills, with accurate grammar and spelling
  • Completion of Grade 12
  • Type a minimum of 60 words per minute
  • Recently related experience providing administrative support
  • Use Microsoft Word proficiently
