Reporting directly to the Director and Clinical Manager(s) of the Emergency, Medicine and Critical Care Departments, the Program Secretary will provide administrative and secretarial support to an assigned number of Clinical Managers and staff teams in the department of the Emergency, Medicine and Critical Care Program. The Program Secretary will be responsible for organizing the Clinical Manager(s) schedule, files, reviewing budgets, running statistical reports, checking for accuracy, problem solving when issues arise, and deal with human resources matters. The Program Secretary will develop and maintain good working relationships with all members of the department and affiliated clinic/program personnel. Confidentiality is essential to this position.

- Graduate of Community College Business Secretarial Program
- Demonstrates excellence in effective communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrates ability to meet project and task deadlines
- Excellent transcription and minute-taking abilities
- Proficient keyboarding skills (60 wpm)
- Demonstrates ability to develop systems that create efficient work flow
- Knowledge and experience with human resources processes related to new hires and staff transfers
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Experience with invoice management
- Demonstrates ability to appreciate confidential nature of position
- Excellent computer skills in a variety of applications including Microsoft Office, Payroll, Peoplesoft, Taleo, Budget Tool, ASMP, and Meditech.
- Minimum 2 years current related experience
- Ability to work on own demonstrating initiative, organization and establishment of priorities
