Reporting to Senior Accounting Manager

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, results and performance driven Accounts Receivable Specialist and General Accountant to join our growing team! Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, the Accounts Receivable Specialist and General Accountant will be based in the Toronto office and will be responsible for helping to process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. Successful candidates will have both a day-to-day and ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track, on time, and on good terms with our valued partners. This role is contract to FT - 2 days a week in office (Mondays + Wednesdays) and Hybrid on remaining days.

What you will do:

• Enter Contracts from Salesforce into ERP

Monthly Draws via ACH, CC & Collections

• Process Canada, USA and RR monthly ACH and CC draws

• Reconcile bank receipt to ACH draw and investigate any rejected transactions

• Provide listing of rejected transactions

• Reconcile undeposited ACH to the bank

• Customer payments application

• Monitor ACH & Wire payment returns for monthly draw, and follow up with necessary notifications

Weekly Reconciliation of Undeposited NACHA, Isracard, and Paypal

• RR paypal processing

• Weekly reconciliation of PayMe/Isracard, Paypal, Nacha

• Monitor bank account for incoming customer wires and apply payments

• Update deposit Summary

• Update Cash in transit by business day 2

Accounting for Consumables

• Process invoices for consumables

• Create receipts for these orders

• Reconcile bank for Artas orders @ ME

• Unbilled Interco

Other Duties

• Confirmation AR balances are zero prior to cancellations

• Update monthly cash balance summary

• Reconcile customer accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness

• Ensure service calls are correctly billed and reconciled against payments

• Ensure unbilled shipments are correctly billed and reconciled against payments

• Avalara Sales Tax Reconciliation

• Other AR support as requested

What you will need:

• Post-Secondary Accounting Education or Canadian/International equivalent

• Experience in accounts receivable (or accounts payable)

• Experience in driving process improvement

• Attention to detail

• Understanding of basic accounting principles

• Analytical and problem-solving

• Self-motivated and collaborative
