Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient- centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.


Position Overview


The Accounts Receivable Lead Clerk is responsible for the timely and accurate invoicing for goods and services supplied to the Winnipeg Health Region’s customers. The incumbent is also responsible for providing information about billing and receivable activities.


Experience


  • Experience in credit/collections preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within the last 5 years in a computerized accounting environment required, preferably in an Accounts Receivable health care environment.


Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)


  • Training courses such as telephone collection seminars an asset.
  • Completion of Business/Accounting diploma from a recognized business college within the last 8 years required.
  • Completion of high school education, Manitoba standards required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Qualifications And Skills


  • Typing minimum 50 wpm required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Must have excellent communication skills (oral and written) in the English language.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills and be self-motivated, naturally assertive and persuasive.
  • Knowledge of General Accounting concepts and account coding required.
  • Knowledge of patient/clinic-based systems an asset.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
