WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?


An Accounts Payable Specialist (on-site) located in Toronto, ON whose main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Verification and entry of rates and fees in accounting system.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Perform related clerical duties, such as, word processing, maintaining filing and record systems, scanning and photocopying.
  • Analysis of projects and timesheets to ensure that all requested services have been provided and that proper procedure has been followed.
  • Entry of cash receipt details into accounting system.
  • Assist with Monthly, Quarterly, Annual reconciliations as required.
  • Monitor, respond and resolve outstanding A/R while updating management as required.
  • Entry of customer and vendor account information into accounting system.
  • Assist with preparing and maintaining project specific budgets (i.e., OLG, BCIT, etc.) as well as provide site teams with monthly updates, or as required.
  • Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues.
  • Utilize multiple computer systems to verify and maintain current projects and enter appropriate billing information.
  • Provide reports as requested on specific deliverables related to overtime and vacation objectives.
  • Assist with year end audit.
  • Respond to customer and vendor enquiries by both email and phone.


WHAT WILL YOU BRING?


  • Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles is an asset.
  • Ability to adapt to and learn new software.
  • Exceptional computer skills, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Diploma or degree in related field and/or minimum 1 year working experience in an accounting/finance setting.
