Job Description


We are seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our team in Winnipeg, MB.


As a member of the Finance Department Team, the Accounts Coordinator is responsible to provide accurate, timely and relevant information to internal and external stakeholders of the Company, from which they are able to make informed decisions and to safeguard intangible and tangible assets.


The Accounts Payable Coordinator will:


  • Recording accruals for monthly expense recognition
  • Securing approval prior to processing of invoices/expenses to Sage
  • Creating payment entries on invoices and expenses due for payment
  • Ensuring that all related invoices/expenses are accurately entered to Sage, considering the correct expense codes, the cost center and invoice/expense details
  • Ensuring all invoices and expenses has proper approvals prior to check printing
  • Processing of invoices and expense reports:
  • Providing supporting documents to analysts as required from time to time.
  • Maintaining a systematic file system for easy retrieval
  • Responsible on the distribution of checks once signed
  • Ensure that all month-end related are done on a timely manner.
  • Payment processing:
  • Reviewing the printed checks to ensure that details correspond with the invoices/expenses
  • Processing intercompany invoices with the proper allocation
  • Assisting in doing journal entries in the reallocation and reclassification of cost
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Reviewing invoices/expense reports and contacting vendors/ employees for any discrepancies
  • Scanning invoices related to fixed assets, prepaid and various professional fees


To be successful as an Accounts Payable Coordinator with People Corporation, you will need:


  • Experience in a similar finance-related role is an asset
  • Diploma in a related field
