Job Description
MAKE Projects is a boutique project management firm based in Vancouver, BC. We are looking for a dynamic Finance and Accounting Administrator to join the team! This role will manage MAKE’s financial and accounting processes. Your duties will include creating invoices, managing the flow of cash to and from various accounts and completing monthly reporting.. You will also be required to update accounting databases and manage vendors.


To ensure success as an accounting administrator, you should possess financial acumen and attention to detail. Ultimately, an adaptable accounting administrator should be able to process a high volume of finance-related data swiftly and accurately.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Lead the account management of IT services, TELUS and mobile phone providers on a monthly basis
  • Completing monthly account reconciliations
  • Processing and managing accounts payable and receivable
  • Serve as the main point of contact for MAKE’s credit and accounting inquiries
  • Prepare monthly project reporting in FunctionFox
  • Process invoice payments
  • Manage the invoicing cycle (creating, editing, approving, distributing and tracking)for each client based on the contract terms
  • Other tasks as assigned by Principals or Chief of Staff
  • Complete monthly personnel expense report reconciliations, adjusting and posting variances


Requirements


Skills and Education


  • Highly proficient at Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, Quickbooks
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a high-functioning team
  • Professional discretion
  • Attention to detail
  • Exceptional multi-tasking, prioritizing and re-prioritizing skills
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Experience with Function Fox is nice to have
  • 3-5 years previous accounting and finance experience in a fast-paced environment
