Position Summary
We’re looking for an HR Administrator and Office Manager to join our Americas team in our mission to scale Acceldata and put together the foundational infrastructure that will enable scalable and efficient hyper growth. This role reports into the Director, Human Resources. This is a hybrid role, with regular presence in the Canada office expected. This role will support Acceldata USA and support our employees in Canada.
Given our focus on execution and scaling, we consider this role as an enabler of Acceldata’s evolution, and be execution focused, and detail-oriented.
We’re looking for someone who can:
  • Assist with end to end country relocations
  • Monitor and collaborate with the HR Director to assist with the Canadian Employee Handbook updates in compliance with local laws and statutory regulations
  • Responsible for scheduling meetings and writing/distributing meeting minutes
  • First point-of-contact for incoming employees and visitors.
  • Execute on HR administration which involves the entire employee life cycle
  • Manage the Co-Op hiring in Canada
  • Assist with execution of employee engagement activities, raffles, distribution of holiday gifts, etc.
  • Be a culture champion - Support talent retention, drive and implement culture initiatives to enhance a world-class employee experience
  • Coordinate with IT on the ordering and collection of company issued devices.
  • Responsible for incoming/outgoing office mail/courier and shipping items as necessary and managing related vendor relationships.
  • Manage daily office functions like mail, ordering supplies, and keeping the office organized
  • Provides logistical support for company meetings, including: travel arrangements, room rental, food services, training materials, presentation development, etc.
  • Support Human Resources functions such as recruiting, onboarding and offboarding activities.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Organize and arrange for onsite events such as management staff meetings, all hands meetings, celebrations, and other key company events.

  • Knowledge of employment laws, STD/FMLA, and Reasonable Accommodation preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada
  • 5+ years progressive HR Operations experience + hyper growth, venture backed and multinational B2B software startup preferred
  • A self-starter who is comfortable with a flexible and growing position
  • High level of fluency in TriNet (or other PEO platforms), Lattice, BambooHR (or another HRIS system), Expensify, and MS Office; Google Space
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on timely, clear and sensitive responses to internal customers
  • 2+ years of experience in office space management
  • Adaptable to a fast-changing work environment while able to work well under stress and tight deadlines
