CNIB invites you to build a career as unique as you! We are currently searching for a Supervisor, Property Projects! Reporting to the Senior Director, Property, the Supervisor, Property Projects will be responsible for coordinating the planning, design, and execution of our facility projects.


Your impact at CNIB


  • Collaborates with Manager, Property to coordinate construction aspects of projects including work completed by contractors.
  • Draft requests for proposal (RFP).
  • Assist in ensuring that all safety and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Investigate premature failures of materials and ensure compliance with warrantees.
  • Manages development of project plans, budgets, and timelines.
  • Manages design consultants to get necessary drawings and specifications prepared.
  • Works with the Manager, Property to execute the projects on the annual capital plan.
  • Verify scope of work and review bidding documents and change orders.
  • Work with the Manager, Property to recommend and negotiate with contractors for projects using RFP and bidding process.
  • Work with Manager, Property to inspect work to ensure it is performed in conformance to the contract, all applicable policies, building codes and regulations.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining project documentation, including contracts, specifications, and reports.


Who You Are


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and construction industry practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office.


We Want To Hear From You If You Have


  • Knowledge and experience in monitoring a budget.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities/construction management, project management or architecture.
  • Two (2) years of experience in construction and/or facilities project management or an equivalent combination of education and work experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job.


Work Environment


  • Physical ability to access constructions sites and remote locations including climbing of ladders, stairs, or uneven terrain.
  • 24/7 response to emergency calls.
  • Travel required locally and provincially.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible hours between 8:00am – 5:30pm; Monday to Friday.
