Projects Engineer Jobs

Follow Pembina’s Management of Change (MOC) process and Project Delivery & Governance Lifecycle framework (PDGL);

Possess advanced computer skills, analytical capabilities and the ability to problem solve;

Manage projects up to approximately $5 million in value from initiation through implementation to close-out;

Manage 3rd party engineering consultants, fabrication facilities, vendors and construction service providers through the development of projects;

Apply technical and problem-solving capabilities to improve projects and support business growth opportunities;

Participate in knowledge sharing discussions with operations engineering team;

Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience, that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities for the position.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate would be considered an asset.

A minimum of two years experience preferred but not required.

Knowledge of both Global shop & SAP Applications would be beneficial.

Experience for Process and Utilities requirement working within agreed schedule and maintaining quality of deliverable

Experience in engineering consultancy for Process deliverables of FMCG and Pharma projects in an EPCM environment.

experience pertaining to FMCG / Chemicals related industry.

Interface with project execution team, Offshore team, equipment vendors, construction contractors to ensure successful project implementation.

Candidate should have exposure for the projects executed in North America region

Professional Engineer (PE) certified candidate

10+ years of engineering and project management experience.

Extensive knowledge and working experience with relevant codes regulatory bodies (US & Canada) and requirements to complete integrity projects.

Formal project management training would be considered an asset; and

Manage several projects with various size budgets and scope with vigorous timelines;

Ensure projects meet all safety, technical, operational and quality requirements defined in Pembina’s specifications and standards and industry regulatory codes;

Manage project’s cost within budget and schedule, providing monthly cost forecast and variance analysis as necessary;

Supporting multiple Project Managers in their day-to-day work;

Field experience including pipeline and facility construction and facility operations is an asset;

Must be familiar with ASME B31.3 design requirements for facilities as well as other applicable regulatory agency guidelines and policies;

Non-authoritative leadership skills with the ability to influence effectively;

The interdisciplinary team will be supporting ongoing planning and cost/schedule estimating for the overall execution of facilities infrastructure projects;

Working closely with the Pipeline Development team in the scoping of the infrastructure projects;

Electrical engineering degree required, coupled with at least 3 years of project experience within an industrialized manufacturing setting.

Excellent interpersonal skills required, including an ability to work collaboratively within a fast paced and structured environment.

Good communication skills with excellent strategic thinking skills.

Proficient analytical skills required as well as a strong background in MS Office, MS Project.

Experience in project coordination and management

A university degree: A bachelor’s degree in administration, construction management or any related fields

1–3 years of experience in a similar position

Proficiency with MS Office suite. Intermediate/Advanced knowledge level of Excel

Experience in the construction field is an asset.

Knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite is an asset.

Good time-management skills and is able to work effectively under pressure

Knowledge of standard industry approaches with respect to project management and delivery

With minimal instruction and guidance, performs error-free and insightful analysis that supports decision making, project management, budgeting and cost management

Actively seeks mentorship and learning to further develop knowledge and skills

Manages the flow of information between all stakeholders and facilitates interdisciplinary communications to avoid the development of information silos

Additional specialized education, including masters level degree (specifically an MBA) or equivalent, would be beneficial, but not required
