Position Summary

The Advisor, Indigenous Partnerships and Procurement - Capital Projects (the Advisor) provides guidance and advisory support to Northern Health's leadership teams in Capital Projects, Finance, and Communications in partnering with Indigenous peoples and communities on capital projects. In collaboration with the Indigenous Health leadership team and staff, the Advisor leads the development of health authority protocols, practices and procedures to ensure that all capital development initiatives proactively seek to partner with local Indigenous peoples and the Nations on whose territories these facilities are planned, to ensure that matters of reconciliation, rights and title are addressed in a fulsome, timely and respectful manner.


Starting salary will be approximately from $86,398 to $107,997 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions


Prince George has a population of 89,490 (2021) local residents and is a service centre for approximately 320,000. Qualfications


  • Knowledge of current national, provincial and regional Indigenous health perspectives. Experience working with indigenous people, Nations and communities.
  • (7) years' experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of complex multiple-stakeholder development partnerships.
  • Previous experience in a health care, government, public sector, not-for-profit, or academic environment is an asset.
  • ‐Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Government Relations, Public Sector Administration or related field, plus five (5) to seven
