ROLE

As an Account Executive, you will join the team at our head office in Markham, Ontario and will report to the Manager of Business Development.


This position is intermediate skill level with the opportunity to develop into a more advanced role (Senior Account Executive) in the future. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Proactive prospecting for new business opportunities

• Develop and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with existing customers and prospects

• Schedule meetings and presentations with clients and potential clients to determine needs and cross-sell offerings

• Price and deliver on projects and opportunities

• Supporting Building/Facility, Owner/Operators/Managers for all services offered by Smith and Long

• Maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects

• Meet and/or exceed sales quotas

• Assisting project teams with urgent matters

• Continually reviewing current processes and making recommendations to improve

• Coordinate with other team members and departments internally to optimize processes and sales efforts

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1 year of consultative Sales Experience is required as the services can be technical and complex

• Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing technical knowledge is preferred but not required as it can be learned on the job

• Aptitude for independent problem solving •

Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Strong interpersonal skills, especially when in contact with clients

• The ability to follow up on issues when required

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas by successfully managing customers

• Highly self-motivated COMPENSATION & LOCATION This position will be based out of Markham, Ontario.


This is a full-time position that is available for immediate hire. A meaningful compensation package will be developed for the successful candidate that will include a base salary, aggressive commission plan, monthly auto allowance, and comprehensive benefits.
