Oversee the actuarial valuations for accounting purposes of the Company’s actuarially determined benefit plans including validation of key assumptions.

At least 5 years’ experience post-certification, which includes experience in private enterprise.

Chartered Professional Accountant or equivalent experience.

Oversee and support the team with day-to-day finance operations, including AP, AR, banking, payroll, etc.

Take a hands-on approach to all finance-related matters

Be the technical subject matter expert in all systems used by finance

Monitor and manage cash position and forecasting, providing recommendations on hedging

Oversee Budget forecasting and cash flow management

Manage quarterly and annual reporting for all entities (complex cross-border structure)

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

Ensure government compliance in all tasks

Proficiency with current financial software (QuickBooks)

Understanding of IFRS and US GAAP

Preparation of monthly management reports

Remote work and multi-national team experience

Previous experience with audits and in public practice would be an asset

3. Management Reporting, Financial Planning & Analysis

Manage the accounts receivable and accounts payable processes of the Canadian and Irish entities.

Strong technical knowledge in multi-currency consolidation and external financial reporting (quarterly/annual report and MD&A)

Detail-oriented, hands-on, superior analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex issues into actionable points

Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, and meet deliverables while building relationships with all stakeholders

Excellent communication and presentation skills

CEGEP D.E.C. or D.E.P. in Accounting, or related work experience

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel

A test will be administered to assess accounting skills

Prepare, process and journalize Wire Payments

Balance Sheet Accounts Reconciliation and variance analysis/explanations

Analysis and correction of Tax Exception reports

Participate in the management of all accounting transactions

Implement performance monitoring and management tools

Manage the month-end process and prepare the monthly financial statements

5 years' relevant experience in a similar position in a manufacturing environment

Excellent knowledge of accounting standards

Rigour, analytical skills, leadership and autonomy are desirable qualities

Manage accounting operations for business units ensuring adherence to IFRS accounting standards and disclosure requirements

Participate in operational improvement programs in partnership with key operations managers, including inventory management initiatives

Experience managing a large Finance/Accounting team

Manage 6 direct reports and a team of 26 total staff

Comply with local, provincial, and federal tax reporting requirements and filings

Support in coaching and developing the Finance team, and proactively engage with rest of the company’s stakeholders

Prepare financial statements and financial reporting package for executive management

5-7 years experience in Finance

Develop income tax provisions and provide required information for income tax filing requirements
