Next Level Group is an executive search firm partnering with Manufacturing companies throughout Canada and the US. We have been a driving force in the North American staffing industry since 2011. We built our staffing agency on the need for business and staffing solution partnerships in industries that are honest, ethical, and professional in their practices. We are currently looking for a Financial Controller for a client located in Edmundston New Brunswick.
This position reports directly to the Finance Manager and will lead financial and management reporting and provide accurate and timely financial information for decision-making in support of operations. A trusted member of the management team, the Controller will oversee all aspects of accounting, budgeting, reporting, cash management, financial analysis and forecasting as well as internal controls.
Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Familiar with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Provide financial and business leadership to entire operation to ensure cost effective decisions and strategy.
- Develop and support an environment of continuous cost and profit improvement.
- Ensure financial results appropriately reflect operational results.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial (both internal and external) and management reporting.
- Coordinate and review, month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing and reporting to meet corporate deadlines.
- Knowledgeable about US tax codes, financial reporting requirements, and compliance standards.
- Manage and coordinate the Accounting, & Finance functions for 2 sites.
- Actively participate in division/company-wide initiatives to improve effectiveness and efficiency of financial reporting.
- Coordinate and review the forecasting and budgeting process for the sites.
- Lead, coordinate and perform analysis for operating and capital projects to optimize performance and earnings.
- Manage the accounting department including, but not limited to provide coaching, organization and delegation of tasks, succession planning, recruiting, and performance management.

Professional Experience/Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business or Finance. Accounting designation considered an asset.
- Working knowledge in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel capabilities.
- Bilingual (French & English) considered an asset.
- 5-10 years of work experience in accounting, preference may be given to those with manufacturing or cost accounting experience.
