Assistant Financial Controller / Financial Controller

Responsibilities

1)Responsible for full cycle accounting

2)Quarterly consolidation and preparation of financial statements

3)Working with external auditors to complete annual audits

4)Budgeting

5)Preparation of monthly management reports

6)Preparation of quarterly regulatory reports

7)Overseeing other members of the accounting department

8)Accounts payable processing

9)Accounts receivable processing

10)Preparation of bank reconciliations

11)Preparation of commission reports

12)Other tasks and projects as needed

Qualifications

1)US or Canadian CPA designation

2)Previous experience with audits and in public practice would be an asset

3)At least 5 years of previous work experience as an assistant financial controller, financial controller, in public practice or in similar capacity

4)Fluent (business level or higher) in spoken and written English

5)Good knowledge of IFRS / GAAP

6)Experienced in preparation of consolidation worksheets and financial statements with notes to financial statements

7)Proficient in QuickBooks

8)Proficient in AP and AR processing

9)Experienced with Microsoft Excel and Word

10)Detail and deadline oriented

11)Deliver quality work in a fast-paced, quickly changing and deadline-driven environment
