We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Junior Financial Controller. This position plays a crucial role in our accounting, financing, managerial operations, reporting directly to one of our Co-Founders who happens to be a CPA. Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of tax returns and ensuring compliance with tax laws.
• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, reports, forecasts, and budgets.
• Cost accounting of inventory to determine landed costs.
• Supporting the financial planning and forecasting processes.
• Assisting with cash flow management and forecasting.
• Supporting the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Conducting financial analysis and providing insights on financial performance.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data.
• Issuing purchase orders and managing accounts payables.
• Assisting with ad-hoc financial projects as required.
• Contributing to the improvement of financial systems and processes.

Qualifications

• Dynamic ability to work with large datasets and conduct data analysis.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools such as Excel, accounting software, and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA is considered an asset.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

You must have a Canadian work permit and currently live in Canada, this position is non-remote.
