B V L G A R I is looking for a Store Director to join our Vancouver Boutique!
Acting as the brand's ambassador, the
Store Director is responsible for inspiring and developing the store team to
reach quantitative and qualitative targets successfully.
The Store Director is a strong leader who can collaborate with internal business partners to drive all business initiatives with a sense of urgency. This person is a strategic thinker who can solve problems, provide recommendations and make decisions. This person can gather and challenge information from different sources to make clear and impactful decisions promptly. This person will develop strong business relationships externally and internally to gain support and
cooperation to drive the business forward.
Essential Duties:
- Control discount activity to comply with policies, and maximize sales by category
- Utilize the suite of reporting available to engage in quantifiable business-driving conversations with the team and NY Business Partners
- Develop a business plan and coordinate execution and implementation cross-functionally with each department's support
- At the start of the year, propose a store strategy to the VP of Retail to meet all store goals and objectives. Strategy to be refreshed quarterly.
- Sales Budget Achievement
- Manage personnel costs keeping in line with the set budget/forecast given by Human Resources
- Identify opportunities to improve performance. Work with corporate business partners to develop strategies to raise performance
- Support the sales team in every capacity to achieve budget
- Maximize the business potential of the market
- Business and Sales Performance
- Possess a merchant-level product knowledge understanding
- Analyze performance by category and partner with the Merchandising team to validate the action plan to drive a positive and sustainable difference
- Analyze and monitor store KPIs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to implement action plans to achieve target KPIs
Team Leadership:
- Ensure correct backup candidates in every location for unexpected situations
- Constantly coach the sales team on how to deliver a unique and memorable shopping experience (client focus, storytelling, extraordinary service, selling skills, and attitude), observing the sales floor and providing feedback accordingly
- Develop a team structure that facilitates and maximizes individual and team performance, Incorporates (A-SMART) goals.
- Ensure behavior reflects the Bulgari brand and people values, showing pride, enthusiasm, commitment, and initiative.
- Coach, mentor, and train direct reports, to perform at their highest potential.
- Accountable for the growth and development of direct reports to prepare them for next-level roles
- Manage performance review (PCR) and development plans for all direct reports. Address performance issues and create development plans.
- Continuously monitor the execution of Bulgari selling ceremony to achieve the best quantitative and qualitative business results (i.e mystery shops)
- Ensure all staff receives monthly, quarterly, and annual feedback
- Ensure grooming, uniform, and behavior standards of all store staff are being met
- Work together with Talent Acquisition in recruiting members according to the brand vision and image to Attract, motivate & retain staff.
- Approve and monitor store schedules, ensuring adherence to handbook policies including blackout dates & overtime rules.
- Attract, motivate & retain top talent
- Responsible for the turnover rate of the store
Store Operations:
- Ensure retail operations procedures and best practices are being adhered to, and Well-versed in the Process and Procedure Manual
- Remain up to date on all policies and procedures in the company Human Resources handbook as well as labor laws; both federal and state-specific CRM Market, and Clienteling
- Power user of Beanstore
- Develop a holistic marketplace strategy, identifying and recommending key partners to accelerate future growth and develop new relationships
- Actively participate and involve the sales team in social events
- Responsible for driving the in-store shift from walk-in customer outreach to meaningful client relationship building by supporting the development of a robust client development strategy (Competitor Market Awareness)
- Excellence in Store Experience and Image by optimizing in front of house presence by managing a schedule of at least 70% of the time on the floor in the store and 30% focus on back-office activities.
- Responsible for fostering a relationship and direct line of communication with the mall manager and marketing team
- Partner with the Retail Operations manager to ensure adherence to lose prevention policies and procedures and proactively identify trends that support achieving all inventory goals.
- Guarantee the implementation of the VM guidelines under the corporate VM Dept. ensuring the correct product display and in-store merchandising
- Strictly monitor the luxury jewelry market performance, including product, price, promotions, and competitors' activities, and make suggestions to improve and enhance store performance
Key Competencies:
- Ability to think strategically, make sound decisions and put in place the proper business actions
- Experience in a luxury retail environment or working with luxury products.
- Ability to leverage networks by cultivating key industry-related relationships as well as knowledge of local marketing and media
- At least 6 years of work
- Must work retail hours – Weekdays and Weekends, Evenings & Holidays
- Managerial experience with an emphasis on motivating and developing staff at various career levels
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ability to acquire some expertise in Store operation applications (Beanstore, SalesForce, SAP)
