Working within the Marketing Strategy team, the Social & Retail Marketing Specialist is a well-versed go-to, supporting the Brand Manager in strategic projects. They are involved with all stages of the marketing department’s process including strategy, ideation, and execution, managing Palliser’s social and retail community platforms. From strategizing creative and dynamic social media content, to working directly with retailers requiring branded marketing materials, to maintaining relationships with 3rd party vendors, this key role will help the team maintain focus and organization while driving results.


Effective communication, organization and prioritization will ensure the sales organization and retail partners have the support they need to effectively drive sales.


The key duties and responsibilities of this position would include:


  • Manage sales rep and retailer marketing requests, including but not limited to the Palliser marketing inbox.
  • Take complete notes, manage workflow and deadlines.
  • Develop and write compelling content for public facing materials including web, social media, and various print executions.
  • Actively promote and train sales team on POP marketing materials and other marketing tools and initiatives through virtual events and in-person learning sessions.
  • Option for Hybrid available ( in office 2 days per week)
  • Work with Brand Manager and other marketing team members on strategic projects, with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once while meeting deadlines.
  • Collaborate with internal content team made up of graphic designers and photographers,.
  • Participate in press checks when required.
  • Work with third party vendors to manage marketing asset post-production and printing including but not limited to product photography, wall vinyls, floor stands and other in-store POP.
  • Build strong relationships as the key marketing liaison with the Palliser sales organization, and other internal Palliser Departments, including, but not limited to: R & D, Product, Tradeshow, and Studio.
  • Coordinate printing and stocking sku’d POP, ensure shipping deadlines are met.
  • Work with procurement to obtain quotes and source materials.


What Do You Bring?


  • Working knowledge of print production
  • Possesses the confidence to raise a hand, make suggestions, and offer feedback to those within the marketing dept.
  • Superior writing and editing skills. You love correct sentence structure and avoid unnecessary punctuation.
  • Possess the ability to think strategically but also take care of the fine details.
  • Comfortable learning from others and working collaboratively
  • Creative eye. Should have a natural ability to creatively make corrections and stylize an image independently.
  • Strong organizational skills, prioritization and a superior attention to detail.
  • Experience with digital communication platforms like Zoho Projects, Sharepoint, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive is an asset.
  • Some graphic design / post-processing skills within key Adobe Creative Cloud software (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Bridge, Acrobat) considered a significant asset.
  • Interest in furniture or design an asset.
  • Can communicate effectively through oral and written communication across internal team and other departments.
  • Ability to influence, build alignment, and work productively with internal and external teams.
  • 3+ years relevant experience.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, high-volume environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Excellent project management skills
