Senior Payroll Analyst Jobs

Responsibilities

• Ensure that relevant legislation, manuals, policies, and directives are interpreted, communicated, and applied consistently and accurately.
• Perform and document ad-hoc reports after payrolls have been processed focusing on accuracy, compliance to internal standard operating procedures and legislative compliance.
• Maintain audit metrics and reporting for each payroll audited, document gaps and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Creates ad hoc reports regarding payroll information as needed.
• Refers employee Payroll issues to GHRSS team members while maintaining timely and accurate communications and resolutions.
• Assist with knowledge transfer and education to Associates with respect to existing and new processes and compliance requirements (internal and external).
• Assists Payroll Manager with various T4/RL1 balancing & Year End processes, including multi province government remittances.
• This position is a pivotal role in the ongoing success of GHRSS and Canada Payroll Operations
• Assists Payroll Manager with the development and maintenance of internal client policy documentation related to payroll processing.
• Review and resolve payroll discrepancies and/or employee questions timely and accurately.

Knowledge Expereince And Skills Required

• Ability to work independently, resourceful, and be a strong team player.
• Ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• System MUST HAVES: Globalview, Salesforce, eTime
• Solid understanding of the full payroll processing cycle
• Intermediate understanding of Canada Payroll practices and multi provincial legislations
• Previous experience with off shored Global HR Shared Services Teams
• Detail oriented, high accuracy with figures

Knowledge Expereince And Skills Preferred

• Extreme attention to accuracy and detail.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
• Accurate data entry skills (numeric and alpha-numeric)
• Ability to multitask, probe, analyze, and problem solve.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent client management, interpersonal, and Project Management skills
• Strong organization, time management and prioritizing skills

EDUCATION

• Canadian Payroll Association (PCP) certification preferred.
• Post-secondary education or equivalent business experience
