Robert Half is looking for a Payroll Clerk to support the Payroll department at a growing company in a variety of duties. The opportunity is located in the London, Ontario area. Grow your career path in this challenging position alongside an industry leader. The ideal candidate would be able to effectively communicate with both the internal team and outside customers. The Payroll Clerk's job duties include data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. This Payroll Clerk opportunity is a long-term contract / temporary employment role.
Major responsibilities

• Reach out to employees via phone and email to obtain timesheet approvals
• Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system
• Build a system of administering and distributing reports
• Conduct clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc
• Supply the organization with instructions/training regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.
• Construct and run custom reports
• Update data into spreadsheets and the payroll system

Requirements

• Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
• Experience with data entry
• Payroll experience preferred
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Reconcile Payroll experience preferred
• Strong familiarity with Process Bi-weekly Payroll
• Comprehensive knowledge of payroll systems for 100-500 employees
• Proficient in Payroll software
• Proven ability to quickly learn new systems
• Strong communication and social skills
• Previous payroll experience
