Job Description

In 2021 the client embarked on a digital transformation journey to become a more customer focused digital organization. Key to achieving the digital transformation is the data and analytics strategy.Over the last year, to enable the Digital transformation and data analytics strategy, The client has invested in developing a consolidated enterprise data platform on Azure cloud.

They are moving our SAS EG projects to Denodo and EDC’s(EDP) Enterprise Data Platform to align with our data and analytics strategy. They are also consolidating and automating the existing reports. This will result in producing fewer reports on a monthly basis. They require the resource to be able to understand existing SAS EG projects and to replace them with Denodo views or leverage standardized data sets from our EDP.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides analysis of query/report output for clients and/or conducts statistical analyses, interprets results, and writes reports to explain findings
  • Identifies data integrity issues and determine feasible solutions and maintains documentation, templates, procedures, processes, building codes, and standards relating to data
  • Performs all aspects of the data lifecycle management including consulting with business users to articulate requirements, translating the requirements into viable solutions, testing and deployment of solutions
  • Determines the best source of information to suit the users’ needs and develops queries and reports
  • Represents the client and their needs when dealing with data platform issues and helps to evaluate, select, test, and optimize both hardware and software products


Must haves:

  • Advanced data analysis skills
  • Experience writing SQL queries (Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle)
  • Knowledge of Data Transformation tools
  • Experience with developing Dashboards in Power BI


Assets:

  • Experience using R and/or Python
  • Experience with Data virtualization software, such as Denodo
  • Experience with Data Transformation tools, such as Databricks or DataStage
  • Experience with SAS Enterprise Guide
