JOB SUMMARY:

• The JA will play a key role in assisting with planning and participating in client engagement exercises focused on elevating the instore promotional plans for those clients.
• The Junior Analyst (JA) will assist the Strategy team in interacting with some of our largest clients in both Canada and the US and will be responsible for supporting with all Client Analytic and Category Insight materials development for the Central Group (TCG)
• The JA will assist MCS with content creation and support account development for TCG Strategic Clients. This role will engage with TCG Sales team on a regular basis and will interact and collaborate with internal teams (Marketing & Design) at the Central Group to support client interaction.
• The JA will be a go-getter who really understands the importance of data and analytics in support of Sales. A growth focus and intention of learning on delivering Central analytic tool kit will make this person a key asset to the National Sales Team.
• Collaborating with the department’s Sr. Manager and Manager on analysis, insights, strategy and client facing content, the JA will manage the creation and communication of product offerings to all TCG’s business development targets, as well as potential and existing clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reporting and dashboard development on syndicated POS data
• Create visualizations of the information available to tell a story and add value to a business opportunity or concern.
• Provide support to the team by gathering market intelligence via secondary research.
• Crafting and maintain all tools (including case studies and best practices) and processes for the purposes of business development.
• Assist with primary market research (internal or external) by using Qualtrics platform
• Champion all Insights deliverables for strategic clients (Identified by MCS) — Mine and analyze data from client databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.
• Liaison between other agency (analytic, creative and research) partners
• Provides subject matter expertise to the MCS and assist in building case studies, whitepapers, research studies and product and service communications.
• Collaborate and set tools and process strategy with the Sales Team, owning the communication of insights and analytics to the National Sales team.
• Assists MCS (Manager of Category Strategy)/ Director by managing/delivering all Category Insight and Analysis for current strategic clients to be utilized for enhancing potential and existing client value.

ACADEMIC,EXPERIENCE & SOFT REQUIREMENTS:

• Self-motivated with high energy, ability to multi-task and execute multiple projects on time.
• Willing and able to take the initiative in uncovering and implementing business building ideas.
• Curious minded, Innovative and looks for new approaches
• Being comfortable with ambiguity and ability to operate in a matrix environment
• Keen interest in consumer behaviour, retail insights & trends, data analysis
• Excel and PowerPoint skills are a must - Able to author and create presentations with input and support from other team members.
• Extremely strong communication and presentation skills, written and in person
• Positive team player who can work effectively with internal and external associates.
• Bachelors or Masters’ in business (preferably Business, Marketing or Technology)
• Any Experience with insights/retail, shopper/consumer research is a plus
• Project management and time management skills are key
• Natural sense of urgency and drive to reach goals with high efficiency
