Junior Security Analyst (Azure)

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Junior Security Analyst (Azure) for a 12-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer.

Language Requirements

Bilingual in French and English essential.

Key Tasks

• Collaborate with the DevOps team to ensure security is built into the application and function development lifecycle and to maintain security best practices
• Monitor, identify, and address security vulnerabilities and threats to the cloud infrastructure
• Participate in responses to incidents of both security and infrastructure services
• Collaborate with the team to implement and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with the team to design, deploy, and manage secure cloud infrastructure on the Azure platform, including support to application and multi-cloud integration
• Stay up to date with the latest security threats and trends in the cloud industry and adjust security measures accordingly
• Be open to coaching, mentorship and learning
• Manage access control and identity management to ensure that only authorized personnel and services have access to our cloud resources
• Conduct security audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement remediation plans
• Collaborate with the team and provide hands-on assistance with security configuration and troubleshooting

Key Qualifications

• Some experience working within the Azure security environment (university labs, co-op, etc.)
• A polished and engaging personality, eager to learn and grow, open to new processes
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field

Qualifications

• Azure Sentinel
• Azure Center APIs
• Exposure and some knowledge of Azure Security, extended Microsoft Suite (Dynamics, 365, etc.)
• Exposure and familiarity with some of the following:
• NIST
• Azure Policy
• PCI
• SOC2
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• HIPAA

• Azure certifications (AZ-500, AZ-303)
• Bilingual – English/French
