We are seeking a skilled and vigilant Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team. As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organization's digital assets, protecting against cyber threats, and ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our data. Your responsibilities will include monitoring security systems, conducting vulnerability assessments, investigating security incidents, and implementing appropriate measures to mitigate risks.

Responsibilities:

·Monitor and analyze security events and incidents using security information and event management (SIEM) tools and other security technologies.

·Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities and potential security risks.

·Investigate security incidents and conduct forensic analysis to determine the root cause and impact of incidents.

·Develop and implement incident response plans, including containment, eradication, and recovery measures, in collaboration with the incident response team.

·Maintain and update security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

·Perform risk assessments and security audits to identify gaps in security controls and recommend appropriate measures for risk mitigation.

·Monitor and analyze emerging cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities, staying up to date with the latest trends, techniques, and technologies.

·Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, network operations, and development, to ensure security best practices are integrated into system design and operations.

·Configure and manage security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS), antivirus software, and endpoint protection solutions.

·Conduct user awareness training and provide guidance on security best practices to promote a culture of security awareness within the organization.

·Prepare and present security reports, metrics, and recommendations to management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

·Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

·Proven experience working as a Cybersecurity Analyst or in a similar role.

·In-depth knowledge of information security principles, concepts, and best practices.

·Familiarity with security frameworks and standards, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.

·Experience with security technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, antivirus, and endpoint protection solutions.

·Understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, routing, and network security principles.

·Knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools and techniques, as well as penetration testing methodologies.

·Familiarity with forensic analysis tools and incident response procedures.

·Basic understanding of encryption, authentication, and access control methods.

·Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and analysis tasks.

·Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) are preferred.

·Basic analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and assess risks.

·Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the capability to effectively convey complex security issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
