Senior Marketing Manager

Introduction
We are currently hiring a Senior Marketing Manager for our client, a leading Generic Pharmaceutical company. The successful candidate will develop and execute on the marketing plan for their Specialty Drug business in Canada. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and make an impact on patients lives.
This opportunity requires two days' per week in-office at the client's location in Brampton, with field work required as needed.
Responsibilities
- Manage complete lifecycle of product portfolio, including pre-launch activity, product launches, pricing, sku optimization, market share and penetration targets through to product discontinuation.
- Key Performance Indicators development and tracking.
- Identify, prepare, communicate and monitor product sales targets and product promotions to ensure revenue and profit targets are met.
- Plays an active role in C-Suite and high impact customer selling activity.
- Hire, coach and develop marketing team members.
- Lead the preparation and submission of long-term and annual product sales budgets and quarterly estimates based on historical performance, external and internal factors and sales intelligence.
- Manage customer listing grids to ensure appropriate inventory and allocation of product, ensuring superior customer fulfillment and listing retention
- Work closely with Sales and Customer Service in identifying competitive opportunities or potential risks to monthly performance targets.
- Lead product positioning, key messaging and POA development in collaboration with sales and PSP Manager.
- Manage the intake of competitive and industry intelligence to identify risks and opportunities that exist within existing portfolio and future pipeline.
- Develop and execute marketing plans through insightful interpretation of market research, competitive intelligence and overall industry knowledge.
- Manage our Market Research team, ensuring timely and accurate market information is produced on a monthly and ad-hoc basis, using IQVIA and other data sources as required
- Work with the Head of Specialty and Business Development to identify and recommend future product opportunities, in line with company goals and objectives
- Optimize Omnichannel Marketing.
- Working with Commercial Operations, Demand Planning, Supply Chain and Customer Service to ensure product supply meets with demand expectations
- Active participation in all supply discussions to ensure appropriate levels of supply and distribution are attained
- Planning and implementation of quantitative and qualitative market research initiatives to develop market understanding and competitive activity
- In collaboration with PSP Manager designs and execute advisory boards to gain market insights and feedback from key stakeholders to develop a PSP brand concept and unique value proposition.
- Establish basis of segmentation, quantifying and establishing segment needs.
- Lead training on marketing and sales materials, programs and messaging as required.
- Working with Commercial Operations, develop product and sales promotions to reduce inventory obsolescence
- Meet with key opinion leaders to strengthen customer insights and relationships.
- Lead social media initiatives related to the specialty portfolio.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of marketing experience in specialty pharmaceuticals including generics
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential
- Outstanding customer relationship, interpersonal, and communication skills with the established ability to effectively work with diverse audiences and influence cross functionally
- Proven negotiation skills.
- Strategic planning and execution
- KOL development
- Ability to think strategically in order to improve current processes
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and problem solving capabilities
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Ability to lead with influence
- Experience managing direct reports
- PSP experience an asset
- Ability to work independently and prioritize with minimal daily instruction
- Strong analytical skills with the proven ability to effectively analyze data to determine trends and inform strategy
- Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills
- Specialty product launch and pre-launch experience
- Marketing management
