As a Senior Compensation Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in designing and implementing BCAA’s compensation programs. You will be instrumental in attracting, motivating, and retaining top talent and building BCAA’s award-winning workplace culture.
What You Bring
  • Proficient in MS Office with advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
  • You can quickly adapt to changing priorities and develop solutions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of various HR functions and exposure to labour/compensation market surveys, job evaluation and job analysis models
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities in implementing compensation systems from start to finish.
  • Degree in HR/Business or related discipline with a minimum of 5 years’ direct experience in compensation role.
  • Bonus qualifications! CPHR designation, Familiar with HRIS systems (including Workday) and understanding of pension laws, regulations, and compliance guidelines
What a Typical Day Looks Like
  • Continuously seek out and identify areas to improve systems, assess impacts and recommend changes to maximize efficiencies.
  • Lead annual market benchmarking and outreach efforts to ensure BCAA is equipped with relevant data on market rates to drive data-informed compensation decisions.
  • Act as a key advisor to leadership teams on compensation best practices including annual increases, incentives, job evaluations and collective bargaining.
  • Please note the BCAA supports a hybrid work model which requires a commute to our Head Office in Burnaby, BC two days a week.
  • Conduct other compensation projects such as quarterly and year-end incentive payouts, data analysis, wellness programs and other initiatives in partnership with People & Development leadership.
