Responsibilities
As the Senior Account Executive within Gallagher's Automotive division, you will be focused on winning new business – delivering comprehensive Commercial Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance solutions to the automotive industry. Our specialized suite of custom insurance products are designed for the automotive industry in Canada, focusing on dealers, repair facilities and auto specialty shops. As your portfolio grows, you will retain ownership of said clientele - ensuring client retention, working towards growing Gallagher’s partnership with all of our clientele. Gallagher’s expansive network of resources will be a major enabler.
How You Will Affect the Business
  • Apply industry technologies to new sales, additional sales to existing clients and account service.
  • Provide direction in account transfer situations. Prepare and implement an individual business plan and production budget.
  • Participate in team sales situations with other producers and support personnel.
  • Partnering with Gallagher’s service, marketing and administrative teams – deliver accurate and timely delivery of renewals for your portfolio of clientele, taking the necessary steps in placing coverage required by the client, re-marketing when required, and working towards binding clientele.
  • Acting to keep current with insurance markets and changing coverages within the industry, including participating in insurer networking events.' Consult with clients according to their needs, retaining them as clients.
  • Develop and maintain inter-division intercompany relationships consistent with our corporate culture.
  • Assist, educate and develop other staff members in new client sales situations and existing client service requirements.
  • Delivering Gallagher’s comprehensive commercial insurance solutions, working with c-suite Support and develop a portfolio of Clientele, playing a lead role in business retention, and continually building upon customer relationships.
  • Generate new business income, identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities and concierge the client through the binding process.

Education and Experience
  • 5+ years commercial broking experience preferred. Experience with specialized insurance programs or the automotive industry is an asset.
  • Active and in good standing Insurance License required. CAIB, CIP, CRM or other relevant certifications/designations highly valued. Knowledge of EPIC considered an asset.
