We're looking for a unique candidate for the role of Sales Manager at our MINI Toronto dealership, someone who wants to take the industry lead in sales processes and lead management in our New and Pre-Owned department. The person for this job may be looking to jump start their career through hard work and creativity. This is not your typical sales management job. Management here is very fluid and creative in methodology, enabling candidates to be industry leaders. Managing and following up with walk in, phone, and web leads is crucial, as is contact and management of lease and loan portfolios of the dealership. Creating reports and analyzing results with staff on a monthly basis is the foundation of the department.
Additionally, the position manages (in conjunction with one other sales manager) a staff of roughly 10-15 between sales, clerical, and admin staff. Experience in hiring and people management is a bonus but not required. Customer service is also a large part of the position, managing customer expectations, satisfaction, and experience. Closing sales deals on the floor and over the phone, speaking with all visiting prospects in store, and following up with deliveries of new vehicles are all part of the role.
Sales managers are also responsible for budget setting, measurement of averages, penetration rates, and product training. Finance and insurance experience is a plus.
Work closely with general management, and interdepartmental managers to drive results through organization, action, and controls. Goals are set for the profitability of dealership and department, as well as volume and inventory management.
Scheduled hours are 40-50 per week with additional as required. Dealership is open from 8am to 8pm in sales, managers work 5 days per week, with Sundays off, as well as one day off from Tuesday-Friday.
A strong pay plan with salary and variable bonus is paid, along with health and dental benefits, profit sharing options, and a car allowance.
