Platform specialties include Azure, Microsoft 365, Enterprise Mobility and Security Suite, Data Analytics, PowerApps/Power BI, SharePoint, Windows 10/11, Artificial Intelligence, Security, and more. Our focus encompasses managed services, professional services, and custom development. Our professional services practice is geared toward the Fortune 500 in Canada; our managed services practice includes medium-sized businesses.


We are seeking a highly experienced sales professional to lead our sales team and continue our trend of strong annual growth. As the Sales Director, you will be responsible for executing the company’s sales strategy, managing a team of up to 10 sales & operations-focused individuals, and closing large-scale deals with customers. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of success in technology services sales and a deep understanding of Microsoft consulting and IT managed services.


As part of this role, you will:

  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitors to stay ahead of the competition and inform on the sales strategy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical and operations, to drive growth and improve customer satisfaction
  • Act as a secondary point of escalation on projects, engaging the executive team if required
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to prospective clients, demonstrating the value of Softlanding’s services and solutions, and close deals
  • Act as point of escalation for RFP responses
  • Participate as executive sponsor in key vendor relationships
  • Lead and manage a team of seasoned sales representatives, providing coaching, mentoring, and guidance to meet or exceed individual and team goals. Your expertise and support will empower your team to perform at their best and drive success for the organization
  • Serve as temporary account executive to cover holidays and other absences
  • Execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and increase market share
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of new business and regularly report on the status of deals to senior leadership
  • Identify new business opportunities and build strong relationships with key decision-makers, leveraging your network and knowledge of the technology services industry

KPI’s you will own:

  • Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) Microsoft licensing revenue
  • Managed Services Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) growth
  • Additional margin-focused outcomes
  • Professional Services invoiced revenue


Requirements:

  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive revenue growth
  • 10+ years of experience in technology services sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and leading teams to success in a technology services company or Microsoft partner company
  • Deep understanding of the technology services industry and its trends, and experience working with Microsoft technologies
