Job Description

SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director of Retail Sales North America, the primary role of the National Sales Manager, Retail is to build distribution and grow sales of retail branded products within Canada. The role is national in scope with direct account management responsibility for all distributors and customers across all Canadian Retail channels excluding Club and Private Label products. In addition, the position includes account strategy creation for Canada and direct management responsibility of Canadian brokers.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Management of all Canadian based retail business including Distributors and Retailers across all classes of trade except for Club and Private Label

• Delivering annual sales objectives while staying within spending parameters

• Developing sales strategy and trade promotion plans for all managed customers

• Forecasting sales for all managed customers

• Determining distribution expansion plan and executing against it to efficiently build distribution at targeted accounts

• Managing all brokers responsible for your book of business

• Creating and/or tailoring presentation for customers

• Working customer and industry trade shows

• Other job-related tasks as required

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Administration, or another related field

• 10+ years experience as a National Sales Manager or Director of Sales with National scope

• Experience managing retailers across all classes of trade and distributors

• Broker management and forecasting expertise
