Job purpose
With direction from the EMEAA Regional Director and Global Sales Director – North America, this role serves to provide effective professional support for OIEG’s agency partners located onshore within Vancouver and further afield.
This role is designed to work with colleagues across several business functions within the University Partnerships division, with accountability for recruiting to all OIEG brands from the onshore Canadian market, with a particular emphasis on the OIEG Careers colleges located in Halifax and Vancouver.
Oxford International has significant growth ambitions within Canada that will see its presence build over the coming years, this role will be pivotal to enabling the Global Sales team and OIEG agent network to sell all new products effectively.
The Success of this role will be measured against annual sales and recruitment targets, measured in both headcount and revenue generated.
Main duties and responsibilities
Recruitment
- Generation and conversion of direct leads for our Careers College programs from the Canadian onshore market.
- Training agents, answering questions, counselling, and resolving issues with and parents.
- Key Account management of agent partners across Canada, regardless of recruitment territory.
- Responsibility to achieve an individual sales target encompassing all OIEG Brands
- Management of a clear and defined calendar of market-based actions, that cover events, custom OIEG events and sessions across all channels.
- Upward communication of market intelligence, including accurate forecasting and management.
- Ongoing development of localised strategy, incorporating support from marketing and teams.
- Keeping budget spend within an agreed regional/country OPEX budget. reporting any variances on a monthly basis.
General responsibilities:
- Carry out such other duties as are within the scope and spirit of the job purpose, the title of the post and its grading.
- Be responsible for personal development within the area of sales, marketing and current trends that may support job performance.
- Ensure that all activity and communication, where possible, is accessible by those with disabilities.
- Provide ideas and best practice synonymous with a high-performance team.
- Ensure detailed and accurate records are maintained, e.g., recording contact and financial information.
- Keep abreast of all legislation and regulations and to ensure OIEG’s adherence and to report all new systems to the Data Protection Controller.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures with regards to budget expenditure, displaying budget control for individual projects reporting any variances on a monthly basis.

Statutory requirements
- Eligibility to live, work and travel freely in Canada
- Meet statutory and organisational child-safeguarding requirements
Qualifications
- Educated to a minimum of degree level OR substantial work experience in the international Higher Education sector
- Project management experience.
Experience and knowledge
- Excellent knowledge of the international higher education market
- Significant experience within higher education in order ‘to hit the ground running’ and have an immediate impact.
- Excellent understanding of sales, marketing and admissions processes in the international education sector
- Good knowledge of Oxford International’s portfolio of products and partners. (Desirable)
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the products associated with Careers Colleges in Canada and OIEG competition (Desirable)
Skills and abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and record keeping.
- Excellent relationship management and customer service skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Language skills: excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good PC and database management skills
- Confident in providing clear and engaging presentations and training sessions (remote and in person).
