Project Engineer - Inflatable Structures & Industrial Fabrics

About The Roll

At ALUULA, our Engineers develop innovative and proprietary composite materials and create the methods and tooling required to build products them. We are looking for a Product Development Engineer to join our team and work with some of the world’s leading brands to solve their fabric challenges for a wide range of inflatable and industrial products.

You will do/own

• Drive the effort to commercialize specific fabric solutions from conception to mass-production
• Work with customers to solve their material challenges with ALUULA composite fabrics
• Develop your knowledge of ALUULA materials and construction processes to help key customers to solve their technical challenges with ALUULA composite fabrics

Requirements

• Willingness to travel 4 – 6 times per year to meet with clients, attend industry conferences, trade shows, and other events to promote the company's products and services.
• A bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science, or a related field is preferred.
• Aptitude for troubleshooting technical manufacturing issues, providing technical support to customers, and collaborating with internal R&D teams to create solutions to address customer needs
• Solid communication skills; able present technical information, and address customer inquiries or concerns
• Understanding of common fabric joining methods and technologies: sewing, bonding, welding
• Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely delivery of products.
• Excellent hands-on skills; Ability to prototype construction solutions, and develop novel ways to solve construction challenges

Nice-To-Have Qualifications (in Order Of Preference)

• Worked with inflatable structures or sewn industrial products
• Relevant coursework in textiles, or polymer science is advantageous.
