About You:
You are motivated, and passionate about electrical engineering and progressing the marine industry toward greener technologies.You are self-driven, detail-oriented with an analytical mindset, with the ability to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines.
The Role:
In your role as senior Junior Electrical Engineer will have an opportunity to apply comprehensive knowledge of electrical engineering concepts related to the design, assembly, calibration, and testing of switched power conversion systems (Marine Power and Propulsion Plant Architecture (SLDs &ELAs), hybrid power system design, and Dynamic Positioning System design).
This position will be part of a matrix structure and part of the engineering team and project team
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cable Lists
- Power Generation and Distribution System
- Controls and Automation
- Design calculation
- Switchgears and Power distribution panels
- Design reports
- Electrical system analysis, inclusive of electrical load analysis, Grounding, EMI /EMC
- Cable diagrams
- Single Line Diagrams
- Block diagrams and schematics
- Test and commissioning procedures
- Cable routing plans
- Termination Drawings
- Significant tasks will be to read and compile Vendor Furnished Information, alignment of technical documentation with the client’s technical baseline documentation, undertake basic, function and detailed engineering drawings as required for the Marine Vessels. Typical documents to be prepared will include, but are not limited to:
Requirements:
Education and Qualifications:
- Recognized diploma/certificate or equivalent in electrical automation, electrical engineering or similar is desired.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/ ElectronicEngineering or Applied Science, or equivalent.
Experience:
- Previous maritime, shipyard or shipboard knowledge or experience is an asset.
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Confident in use of Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint and similar tools
- 2 - 3years of experience inelectrical engineering design.
- Experience in Electrical Design, Control systems, and Vessel instrumenting for “Smart Vessel” is an asset.

Other Requirements:
