Senior Electrical Designer Jobs

AWC specializes in providing integrated water, wastewater treatment plants and many other specialized industrial packaged solutions. We offer clients advanced in-house engineering & design, piloting, fabrication and machining, in-house control panel shop, and a full range of field services, allowing us to provide turn-key solutions.

We are seeking a qualified person to fill the position of Senior Electrical Designer. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a high level of technical competence and experience in electrical and Instrumentation design for water and wastewater treatment systems. These are a list of primary expectations for the position. The successful candidate must be able to:

• Perform advanced detailing, redrawing, lettering, and tracing of drawings on components and assemblies
• Develop drawing templates and standards for design
• Contribute to AWC’s Quality Management System’s practices, procedures, templates and checklists
• Work independently or in a team from data such as previous drawings, layouts, detailed sketches, notes, minutes of meeting and standard references
• Work with engineering and fabrication teams to take concepts and produce designs that include: Electrical Single Line Diagrams, Electrical schematic diagrams, Instrumentation loop Diagrams, Control Panel Layout, Site Electrical Drawings, Bills of Materials, General Arrangement Drawings, Cable Schedules, Cable Tray Layout Drawings and support the development of change orders, etc
• Participate in AWC’s Quality Assurance program for Design and drafting
• Execute drafting and design duties using AutoCAD Electrical

Requirements

• Proven ability to communicate with other colleagues
• Degree or Diploma from Technical Institutions with CAD courses
• 5+ Years of strong knowledge with AutoCAD Electrical drafting software
• Experience in water and wastewater treatment process design would be an asset
• 5+ Years of experience in Electrical design of industrial equipment and packages
